Potential out-of-network reimbursement allows you to seek insurance reimbursement while keeping the therapy process private and tailored to your specific needs.

  • To schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation with Dr. Scherger, please fill out your contact information here. Within 1–2 business days, you will be contacted to arrange a convenient time for the phone call. During this consultation, you can briefly share what brings you to therapy, your goals for therapy, and ask any questions you have about working with Dr. Scherger, so you can feel confident and comfortable about beginning your therapy journey.

  • At this time, Dr. Scherger offers therapy exclusively through secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions. This virtual format allows you to access care from the comfort and privacy of your own space while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professional ethics. Many clients find that virtual therapy offers greater flexibility, reduces travel time, and makes it easier to fit sessions into their busy schedules, without compromising the quality of care. Additionally, virtual therapy allows Dr. Scherger to often offer early morning, evening, and weekend appointment times, when available. 

  • A referral is not required to work with Dr. Scherger. Interested and potential clients can schedule a complimentary 15 minute consultation here to schedule an initial intake appointment.

  • Yes, Dr. Scherger is PSYPACT certified, which means she is authorized to provide telepsychology services to clients in participating PSYPACT states. PSYPACT (the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact) is an agreement among over 40 participating states in the US that allows licensed psychologists to offer virtual therapy across state lines while upholding consistent professional and ethical standards.

  • AASECT stands for the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, and is the leading professional organization for sexuality education and therapy. Being an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist means that Dr. Scherger has completed extensive, specialized training in sexual health, sexual concerns, and intimacy-related issues, as well as ongoing continuing education in this field to maintain certification. Additionally, AASECT Sex Therapist certification reflects advanced knowledge, adherence to high ethical standards, and a commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.   • Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment, as well as missed appointments without notice (no-shows), will be charged the full session fee. This policy helps ensure that appointment times remain available for other clients who may be waiting for Dr. Scherger’s services.
