About Dr. Scherger
CREDENTIALS
Dr. Scherger holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology, a program that integrates extensive doctoral-level clinical training in both clinical and health psychology. Her academic and professional development includes not only rigorous clinical work but also dedicated experience in teaching and research.
She completed a full-time, year-long, APA-accredited predoctoral clinical internship, followed by a postdoctoral clinical fellowship with a specialized focus, further honing her clinical expertise. As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Scherger has continued to advance her training by developing a focused specialization in sex therapy. Her commitment to excellence in this area led her to earn certification in sex therapy through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).
Dr. Scherger is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of North Carolina and also holds PSYPACT certification, allowing her to provide virtual psychological services to individuals residing in participating PSYPACT states. This expanded licensure enables her to offer accessible, high-quality care across state lines, meeting clients where they are with flexibility and compassion.
